In yet another deal inked out this month, online gaming platforms supplier Tain will be providing Netherlands based land-based casino operator Casino City with fully compliant gaming systems including casino, poker, sportsbook and payment services for online gaming.
When Kinbar International wanted to provide online gaming to the 10 million residents of the Dominican Republic, they knew that they needed to partner with a team that could provide them with the diversity and experience required to compliment their existing years of knowledge in the industry as direct brokers.
After exhaustive research, Tain was narrowed to be the best choice for the following reasons:
- Turnkey service to Poker, Casino, and Sportsbook with some of the most recognized brands in the industry.
- Proven financial platforms that allow for smooth and efficient monitoring and controls that seemed would be seamlessly traversed by the customers making the entire platform user friendly.
- Negotiable terms in commissions that provided the profitability necessary when considering the multiplying effect on the bottom line when gross sales are targeted.
Scott Miller, CEO of Kinbar International, continues:
Investments of this magnitude require more than just a high quality engine that we have from Tain. It requires a dedicated and supportive human touch, who will work with you from day one to go-live, with all of your integration and training needs. The Tain Group has this intangible perfected, and we believe our decision will take our brand successfully throughout the rest of the Caribbean and Europe.
Nick Barr, Business Development Manager of Tain, said:
La Funda are a great operation and we are very upbeat about this new project. La Funda have extensive experience in gaming and we are thrilled they have chosen the full Tain suite for this newly regulated market which further solidifies Tain’s position as a platform leader in both regulated and non-regulated markets.
Online gaming platforms supplier Tain will be providing Netherlands land-based operator Krijco with fully compliant gaming systems including casino, sportsbook and payment services for online gambling, including mobile and tablet devices, to be launched on the day the fully regulated Dutch market opens in 2015. In advance of the opening of the Dutch market, Krijco will introduce their online offering with a Play For Fun site during the first quarter of 2014.
There is now just under three weeks to go until the fifth edition of the Malta iGaming Seminar. Previous years have brought together senior figures from all sides of the remote online gaming industry.
An oft missed opportunity in the online gambling marketplace is the potential of cash depositing players. Online operators tend to think of depositing players needing to be supplied with vast options for depositing funds via credit cards or e-wallets, but seldom do the thought processes turn to requirements of accepting cash. And why should they? After all, we are talking online here.
Or should we stop and consider for a moment the inherent yet largely untapped possibilities of accepting cash in online gambling?
Think about it as creating more avenues for recreational players, those who play on impulse. Cash players who do not want to spend the extra time creating an account on a website, transferring funds from their bank to a gaming account and waiting days for the banks to clear and complete the transaction. Offering a method for accepting cash, a player could, for example, walk into a licensed gambling outlet on the local high street and place a bet quickly and easily before the weekend football starts. No banks, no hassle, no headaches.
These days we find all manner of video lottery terminals and slot machines are licensed for entertainment purposes everywhere from pubs to petrol stations. This too presents an opportunity to place entertainment machines and allow the exchange of cash for vouchers in many more locations and therefore reach a far larger audience. Extend the principle outwards a little and we have a distribution method that encompasses and benefits the agent model too.
Offering such a method to be able to accept cash players now opens up your reach to a much wider sphere of influence. Using the Tain Voucher system provides this cash based possibility. Similar to the benefits of using Bitcoins, vouchers are instant and chargeback free. Players can purchase vouchers at any time for cash and play games whenever and wherever they choose. Vouchers can be utilised on the operator’s website, via shop-based betting terminals or even used as part of a greater marketing strategy.
Privately owned Tain and NASDAQ listed Betting Promotion have begun talks discussing a possible merger between the two Swedish firms. This comes just a few months after Tain acquired an 18% stake in the company. News of the talks were announced on the 27th August 2013 and it is anticipated that they will be completed by October of this year further to an extraordinary general meeting at Betting Promotion.
Both Betting Promotion and Tain have been successfully operating in the online gaming market for many years and have had a close working relationship in recent years.
Betting Promotion’s Chief Marketing Officer, Richard Hogg, said:
Betting Promotion is a content provider and Tain a technology business. I see the merger of the two as an ideal opportunity for Betting Promotion to utilise Tain’s technological resources and know-how to further develop our products. In providing our content to various sports book solutions we find each has different technological aspects we could assist with in more detail with such a merger.
Christer Falhstedt, CEO of Tain, said:
This is an exciting time for both Tain and Betting Promotion, bringing together the synergies that will enable us to be able to further develop a comprehensive sports betting platform and continue to improve player experience.
Starting out with your first venture into the online gambling business can be a daunting prospect. There are many hoops that aspiring operator will need to jump through before they can take that first bet. Many affiliates have successfully built their businesses and want to take the next step to becoming an operator, but how simple is it in reality?
First up on the list is selecting what games you want to offer. Your players may focus on poker, but side games (such as slots or blackjack) are very popular and an excellent source of revenue. Casino games are always going to be income generators and have been popular with players of all demographics. So it often makes sense to add casino to whatever your target market is. Sportsbooks have traditionally been an expensive and complicated behemoth that gobbles resources. No more is this the case and now operators of any size can add a sportsbook offering with the Tain Thorium Sportsbook.
If you choose to operate under your own licence, instead of opting to piggy-back on an existing white-label, then next up on the list is to decide where exactly you would prefer to be licensed from. There are pros and cons to each jurisdiction. To take just two, Malta benefits from European location and the ability to gain access to certain payment service providers dominant in the European markets. On the other hand, Curacao offers a far simpler and more cost-effective solution with a single licence for all gaming products.
Tain offers a clean and simple approach in these matters, allowing new operators to grow in their own time through our white-label products with a full suite of games on offer, right through to becoming a fully licensed operator. Because Tain keeps your player data completely separate from all other data, moving your business onwards and upwards should never be a hurdle.
As more and more gaming companies go mobile, their need of mobile marketing and effective CRM programs will increase dramatically. With Tain’s integration of Globalmouth’s services it will be super simple for Tain’s gaming clients to add different SMS services to their marketing and CRM processes into more than 200 countries.
In mobile CRM, simple messaging services via SMS for registration verification, password changes and withdrawals is very popular. Just as bonus, deposit offers as well as different reactivation and VIP campaigns via SMS are very popular and profitable for gaming companies.
The simple reason why B2C SMS is becoming so popular is the declining email opening rate and the growth of mobile usage, and the simple fact that a quality segmented SMS that is sent out will be read by 95% of its receivers in less than 3 minutes for a very low cost. Add a link to a mobile website landing page and you’re one touch from a direct sale too. Compare that to any other direct marketing channel!
Christer Fahlstedt, CEO of Tain, said:
We are really proud that we so fast could implement and offer our clients an Mobile Messaging service from Globalmouth that not only adds an excellent technical service and support but also a lot of competence in how to use different mobile messaging and marketing services.
What is very important when you’re using SMS in your marketing is to be very careful with your message, frequency and timing and that you’ve always offers an option to opt out. So that you’re always very relevant to your target group and don’t abuse and spam your clients.
Nicklas Jönsson, CEO at Globalmouth, said:
Gaming companies that goes mobile is our strongest growth segment at the moment. Signing Tain and offering our services to their portfolio of clients will hopefully improve both our and Tain’s growth even more.
